Security & Screening

All our construction security operations are developed and implemented in accordance with the latest British Standards applicable to the Security Industry i.e. BS 7858 and BS 7499; and full compliance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001.  All security officers deployed by Wilson James are licensed, as well as having undergone basic job training, conflict management, first aid and fire marshalling training.  All our security operatives are experienced in the construction industry and trained to undertake construction related tasks (e.g. Fire Marshalling, Traffic Marshalling and First Aid) to complement the core security duties.

The general security of sites falls into three main categories:

• Maintaining a secure perimeter;
• Preventing unauthorised access;
• Deterring acts of theft and vandalism.

This protection is provided by a combination of physical (fencing, barriers, CCTV, alarms) and manned security.

Wilson James is experienced at providing additional screening services, including scanning materials, using state-of-art equipment, vehicle and personnel searching using scanners, search dogs and accredited search security officers.

At the Security Excellence Awards 2010, Wilson James was awarded the "Best Partnering Initiative of the Year" accolade for its work on the Athletes Village site with Bovis Lend Lease.
