HSW: Shared Learning – Safety Standards/Driving Operating Vehicles

Dear colleagues,

Recently, there has been a spree of vehicle incidents over the last few weeks, which have resulted in several vehicles within the WJ Fleet being damaged. Thankfully, there were no major injuries sustained.

UNDERLYING CAUSE:

The main causes of these vehicle incidents seem to be due to driver error including:

  • Lack of distance perception (spatial awareness)
  • Lack of concentration while driving e.g. not remaining vigilant and alert at all times
  • Lack of care when carrying out restricted manoeuvres such as reversing.

If you have any questions about the new shared learning modules, please email healthandsafety@wilsonjames.co.uk

Kind regards,

Chas Bray
