The end of one financial year and the start of the next provides an opportunity for reflection on what we have achieved and where we are going. This was the focus for our first-ever remote Senior Managers session held earlier this week. We paused to look back on a period which has been challenging for everyone – our clients and our colleagues – and to acknowledge the positive and stable position we are in today with a clear view of the way ahead underpinned by plans for growth and investment.
Taking a long term view we are embarking on an investment programme which will enable transformational change supported by technology. Along with a new consultancy capability, this will enable new service offerings to clients and significantly improve our internal business processes. We will also be able to invest in a leadership programme which will ensure that Wilson James is a place of opportunity for all its colleagues.
So that we may deliver this forward-leaning programme we are making some changes to our business structure. It is with pleasure I announce the appointment of Gemma Quirke as Chief Operations Officer – this is an important new role in Wilson James. It has a company-wide operational remit and will be key to the way we work. I know you will all join me in offering Gemma your congratulations and support.
We know that the times remain challenging, but the future is full of opportunity and our team has never been stronger. As we go forward we remain committed to the Wilson James Values; it is these that have been at the heart of our success for nearly 30 years and I know that you will continue to live those values. We truly would not be where we are as a business without each of you.
