2021 is already proving to be anything but dull. With the announcement of a third national lockdown, school closures and restrictions on movements across the home nations, we know there are some difficult weeks coming up.
Once again, we want to acknowledge the collaboration and team spirit we are seeing across the business, and reiterate our commitment to supporting you through these times. We value and recognise all your hard work and the efforts you make every day to deliver excellent service to our clients across many sectors. We also know many of you remain on furlough, and others are self-isolating to help stop the spread of the coronavirus. Whatever your personal experience at the moment, you are a valued member of Team WJ.
The pandemic continues to drive uncertainty in a number of client markets. We know this is difficult to navigate, and we seek to make any impact on our operations as transparent as possible. We continue to prioritise getting trustworthy information quickly, to enable you to make the right decisions for you and your family.
For those of you faced with disruption to your jobs, you have our commitment that we will respectfully inform and consult with you – and will seek to offer alternative opportunities wherever they arise. We encourage you to continue to speak with your line manager about the opportunities that are available across the business. In our individual service lines, there are also redeployment opportunities which we are not publicly advertising so as to offer them to colleagues affected by COVID first.
We continue to strive to provide the best possible working communities for each and every member of our workforce, and our wider stakeholder groups. We truly believe, now more than ever, that we are stronger together. Taking time to check in on one another, making sure colleagues are safe and secure has never been more important – that brief chat to ask ‘Are you ok?’ can make all the difference and we encourage you all to continue to make time for one another. Our Keeping Well campaign, with its library of resources and calendar of events is available on the WJ Hub and via our Employee Portal.
It is so important that we all do our bit to stay safe particularly in regard to the pandemic. There is much guidance available from the government and devolved administrations, and we ask that you heed and action it at all times. Your safety and wellbeing is, and will continue to be, our highest concern.
