First may we say thank you for your support, your adaptability and your understanding in these most difficult of times.
You will no doubt have seen the latest government advice; we urge you to take all practical steps to follow that advice. We too are following that guidance. Consequently, more of our support colleagues will be remote working and access to our support offices will only be by exception. We have taken this next step to ensure that we can continue to support all of you who are operating on the frontline.
This week will be more challenging than last week, and we ask you to continue with your understanding. Whilst we have made every effort to ensure our support colleagues have all the required technology to facilitate remote working, inevitably some routine issues may take a little longer to resolve. May we ask that you restrict your requests to our support colleagues to essential matters only?
Our senior team worked all weekend, looking at the various government announcements, speaking with clients and seeking support from a variety of stakeholders. The government’s initiatives are most welcome and we are liaising with its departments, like HMRC, to understand the rules and how to apply them, as always this takes time to get clarity and understanding.
Everyone in the Wilson James family are pulling together and we can tell you it makes us unbelievably proud to know you are looking after each other. Please know your senior colleagues are doing some amazing work behind the scenes to ensure we all, including those in our client teams, get the best out of this most difficult of situations.
As soon as we have clarity we will share information with you, update you on our plans and provide you with as much guidance as possible. In the meantime, please continue to follow our new ‘Keeping Well’ advice. We will update this as more information becomes available.
More than ever, the ‘thing’ that sets Wilson James apart is our teamwork and family ethos. We have always been proud of you and all you do for Wilson James, and you have again stepped up to support each other more than ever before. It is hard to find words to describe the pride we feel for each and every one of you.
We understand this crisis affects your family situation too; many of you will be worried about loved ones and our very best wishes are extended to those who support you at home. We may not have all the answers, but if you have questions we are listening and responding as fast as we can.
Last but not least, again thank you for your professionalism, compassion and teamwork.
Keep safe, keep well,
Mark Dobson, CEO
