Timber Recycling at UCL
Last year the University College London building programme manufactured benches for the students out of the reclaimed stripes of teak from the Bloomsbury Theatre refit. This year, they wanted to carry on with the recycling scheme and therefore took the opportunity to reuse two large discarded pallets from a delivery from the Roberts Engineering building. Onsite handyman Donovan Pasley managed to construct three picnic tables out of the discarded wood, which have all been claimed by the UCL student union bar at the Institute of Education. The UCL’s Logistics team delivered the tables this week and they look great in their new home!
