In April Wilson James launched two new development programmes in the Security division. Over 40 Managers attended the People Development Roadshow in London where Wilson James introduced these new people development initiatives, in collaboration with our selected training provider, Jigsaw Training.
These new programmes are bespoke to the Security sector, to Wilson James, and to our staff. WJ is committed to identifying and developing ambitious individuals who are eager to grow their careers in the Security field. These new training opportunities are part of our internal strategy to develop our next generation of managers and leaders from within.
Level 50 is a cutting-edge security development programme designed to develop the essential skills and knowledge of our Security professionals, to lead the way in the Security sector. Level 50 ensures that the skills and knowledge of our security professionals are best in class in protecting assets, people and reputations through the provision of our bespoke training solutions. The programme brings together customer service skills and security knowledge to create highly knowledgeable security professionals who provide exceptional service.
LEAD – The WJ Way, is an innovative leadership programme designed to develop essential skills and knowledge in leadership and management, through both learning theory and putting it into practice. LEAD supports individuals seeking a strong foundation of leadership skills that can help enhance confidence and competence as a manager. Ultimately the programme leads to professional recognition with the Chartered Management Institute and a management qualification through to Degree level.
Individuals are selected by manager nomination only, and require endorsement by a Director. We are looking for individuals who constantly display the Wilson James behaviours, and who are committed to their own personal development.
Nominees for the initial Level 50 programme attended a launch event in late May, and will commence the curriculum immediately. Nominations for LEAD will open in June, with the first cohort starting in July.
Following the launch, LEAD and Level 50 will be rolled out in other regions across the Wilson James security portfolio. We will also continue to expand our offering of development programmes, and continue to explore further qualifications for our staff in other business areas.
